Our Format and Philosophy

At a full camp (18-24 goalies), we will use 6 nets. There will be one drill station at each net and up to 2 drill stations at center ice. No more than 3 goalies will be at a net at one time. Goaltenders will work on various movements, save techniques, and game situations. At On Target, we do not preach one style of goaltending, but rather try to improve a goaltender’s existing style and ability.

3 Hours On Ice Daily!

Each day at On Target features 3 hours of drills and skill work on the ice. Goaltenders will be tested in a variety of game situations and skills and also have their performance recorded on video.

One Hour Video Analysis Daily - DVD FREE!

All goaltenders will be filmed performing various save techniques and skills. This will be analyzed during our video analysis portion of the day. A written report card will be given to every goaltender based on their performance in the video analysis. Each goaltender will receive a DVD of their personal performance - FREE! The DVD includes a small instructional demonstration segment featuring On Target Instructors.

One Hour Dry Land Training

Our dry land training was designed by a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the goaltender in mind. At our goalie camps, we focus on the areas of flexibility, strength, agility, explosiveness, and coordination specific to the goaltender position.  We will also be featuring the Goaler One Slide Board System - check it out at www.goalerone.com.  This allows goaltenders to mimic multi-directional movements in an off-ice format.

 Our Shooters

Our shooters are provided by local junior, midget, and high school programs. Professional and collegiate shooters may also be used in some locations. We ensure top quality shooting to provide both a challenge and a learning experience for our students.

 Additional Info

Our camps are open to all ages 5 and up.  Students are supervised by the instructors at all times.  We suggest packing a lunch, but lunch and concessions may be available in some locations.  Students should have all of the appropriate goalie equipment and appropriate gym clothes for off ice training.  For additional information, select "contact us" from the menu.
